If you plan to drive into any neighbouring country, you must request a cross-border letter (also called a Green Card extension) at the time of booking. This document confirms that your insurance coverage extends beyond Montenegro borders and allows you to legally drive the rental vehicle across the frontier.
We provide cross-border letters for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania. There is a small daily fee for this service depending on the country. Kosovo is generally not covered by standard policies, so let us know your travel plans when you book and we will advise on feasibility.
